User reviews on Picture Show at Citadel Crossing

I have to say that we have been to this theatre on a regular basis especially since they renovated the seats and stuff. I don't know when those poor reviews were written but, the theatre is fantastic and I've always been treated very well by the staff. I highly recommend this place if you are looking to see good movies at a fraction on the cost. The only difference I can see is that these are not brand new, opening night showings. But they are not old either. Today April 30 2102 they are showing Olympus Has Fallen for example. It came out earlier this year.

If you like a discount than this place is for you. This theather is no Tinsletown and anyone should know this by just looking at the prices. The seats are fine enough to get you through the movies and if you need more room where you put the drinks the arm goes up. I like that option for my children who want to sit so close to me. If you want to avoid long lines than come a little earlier than the movie starts. You can also buy your ticket in advance online. Now they take visa and all the rest and now that is a plus because you used to have to use the atm and it was cash only. The prices are very reasonable ohh let me tell you...if you get the number two combo it's $8 bucks. You get one large popcorn and a large drink and you get a refill on the large popcorn. Their popcorn is pretty good..not the best but good enough. So that oh let me tell you part was that I was just in Jersey and we got a combo one large popcorn and two large drinks $17.50 what a rip off and their popcorn was nasty. So even though this place is a discounted place it is still worth the money in everyway. So go enjoy and just remember it's not Tinsletown.

I have been going to this theater for the 6 years I've lived in CS. Seats are brand new in 2011 (altho they are not the "snuggle seats" in stadium theaters) which have a taller seat to lay your head back during the show, they recently put in new tile floors in the lobby. I do hope the bathrooms will be renovated. This theater is just great for the working-class who need the financial break this theater brings. I'm thankful for this theater. It is always clean. Lines are going to be long at times, especially on Tuesday nite. Most of the time people are standing in a long line w/o sending one of their party members to look that there is almost NO line on the backside of the concession stand. BTW, there has never been anyone in the ticket booth outside the theater - that was the "olden days".

Yes, you will save some money on the ticket, but here are the downsides to this place that no one is mentioning: you usually have to wait in a big line (the concession line) to get your ticket since there's never anyone manning the ticket booth out front. The seats are old and very uncomfortable, especially compared with a regular theater. We saw Woman in Black last night and you couldn't hear most of the quiet dialogue because the air conditioning fan is so loud. I will never go there or embarrass myself by taking anyone there again. You'd be better off waiting and enjoying the movie at home.

a great place to spoil a bunch of childish brats at such a low cost.

My wife & I enjoy coming here. Its what we call a cheap date. With a dollartree a few doors down snacks are cheap too. We never use the snack bar bc the staff are never very friendly. The theater is up to par for what you pay. So we make this a bi weekly date...

I found a full toenail in my popcorn and was sexually molested by a handicapped ticket vendor. Also, I haven't seen my six-year-old daughter since going to see Mr. Popper's Penguins. Has anyone seen a short, red-headed girl last seen wearing purple overalls with a Carl's Jr. star on the front?

Great Theater for the whole family. My wife, two boys and I go there every weekend and only pay $6.00 and sometimes $3.00 on Tuesdays. We usually go right after lunch that way we can be full and enjoy a good movie. Everyone knows concessions can get quite pricey at any theater you might go to. The staff that we have encountered there at the Picture Show have been real pleasant and on there job every time. You can appreciate that. The seating is that of the late 80's early 90's but how can you complain when your paying for a movie basically right out of the box office for so cheap. Going to see Rango with the family tomorrow should be great as always. Get there a little early for good seating if you prefer a certain spot. Enjoy!!!

Movies at regular theaters are upwards of $7 nowadays. I always wait for movies to get into this theater because if I don't like the movie, it was only a $1.50 (or 75 cents on Tuesdays). I can afford to go to the movies a lot when I go to the Picture Show, and my friends and I go all the time now. It's only a couple months difference at most from the time a movie gets released at a regular theater to when it gets into the Picture Show, so the patience pays off because I can see 5-7 movies for the price of one at a regular theater. My only problem is that the theaters are sometimes pretty dirty. There is trash in the cup holders or on the floor. And the concessions are very expensive. But that's true of most theaters.

I like the theater for the cost, but I do not like one of the food clerks who is unethical and un-customer service oriented. When I was getting a refill on popcorn after seeing the movie I paid for, the African American food clerk told her Caucasian trainee to fill my tub with popcorn crumbs and un-popped kernels of popcorn and top it off with good fluffy popcorn. I find this to be very unethical and non-customer service oriented behavior. The African American food clerk, at another time, again, when I was getting a refill for my tub of popcorn, rudely spoke to me, using her hands to hurry me along as if she owned me as her worker slave. I was the only one in line and there was no one behind me. She did not treat me with respect, nor did she make me feel welcome at The Picture Show. She should be fired because of her unethical behavior and rudeness to customers. I am a retired, African American women, who is very displeased with this African American food clerk's unethical behavior, who does not know how to treat paying customers. She is definitely not an asset to the Picture Show establishment. Another time, I asked for diet soda and she gave me regular as if she did understand me. I made her throw out the regular soda and give me diet. I am a diabetic and the regular soda would have made me faint from the sugar rush. This girl needs to be fired. She is a liability to the owners of the Picture Show.
